The TE299 color test chart was developed for high-precision color measurements and is particularly suitable for evaluating camera systems in the automotive sector, such as driver assistance systems or surround-view cameras. It was specifically designed for use with the Vega light source to ensure reproducible and stable measurement results.
The test chart consists of 25 color patches based on the structure of the X-Rite ColorChecker SG, though they are not identical. It includes three patches with grayscale levels, the primary colors RGB and CMY, and 16 mixed color patches. Each color patch measures 12 × 12 mm and has been individually measured. The exact color values are provided in a separate “Acceptance Protocol” to ensure a precise reference for camera calibration and color analysis.
The TE299 can be used to verify the color accuracy, white balance and image processing of automotive camera systems under defined lighting conditions.
